Melissa Carollo
Finance & Operations Director
A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Melissa is a Loyola New Orleans alumnus and has worked in finance for over 25 years, with the last 17 years focused on non-profit and charter school-specific finance. In 2006, she was the founding finance director at New Schools for New Orleans and joined LAPCS in 2010. In addition to NSNO and LAPCS, Melissa has worked with multiple charter schools and other local non-profits as a consultant during the start-up phase and beyond, including closures. Melissa has also assisted local school districts, city councils, the Louisiana Department of Education, the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, and the Louisiana Legislature in the advancement of public finance laws and policies.
In addition to her internal work in finance and management at LAPCS, Melissa currently manages professional development programming in the areas of Finance, Operations, Human Resources, and Governance.
