National School Choice Week, held every January, aims to “shine a positive spotlight on effective education options for every child.”


The goal of of the week is to raise public awareness of all types of education options for children, including public charter schools, traditional public schools, scholarship schools, online schools, and homeschooling.

LAPCS, along with its partner organizations Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO) and the Louisiana Federation of Children (LFC), will participate in National School Choice Week through several events across the state of Louisiana in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Metairie.

Charter schools are encouraged to celebrate school choice week through events of their own. To register your school and receive a free School Choice Week kit with posters, banners, and more, visit the National School Choice Week website.
