Message from the Executive Director – May 2018

As most of you close out your school year, LAPCS applauds your school communities for all the hard work you’ve put into your classrooms.

Thanks to everyone that joined us at the Capitol, responded to our surveys, attended our board training sessions, answered our calls to action, and donated to LAPCS.

Keep in mind; our 2018-19 membership drive is now underway.  We are counting on your continued support. Your membership matters to the work we do to support, promote, and advocate for the nearly 80,000 students attending Louisiana’s 148 public charter schools.

Our job is to find ways to make your job easier so that you can focus as much of your limited time, money, and energy on the students you serve.

Finally, our summer will be busy as we travel the state with Bottom Line and Top Shelf programs, kick off our Charter Board Leadership Academy, and monitor yet another special legislative session. And we hope to see some of you at the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools Annual Conference in Austin in June.

Thanks again for all you do on behalf of students, educators and the families you serve. Have a great summer!

Regards,

Caroline
