Why did you choose to serve on your school’s board? I am intrigued by the mission of The NET Charter High School. Their approach focuses on youth who have had various challenges in life but desire a quality education. It’s truly not how you start at The NET but how you finish.
How did you become involved with your school? To ensure that I was fully knowledgeable about The NET, I met with the board chair, took a tour of the school and attended a board meeting before committing to the board. These actions further convinced me that The NET was the best fit for me.
What leadership roles have you held while serving on the board? I was recently appointed the recruitment chair for our board. I am responsible for recruiting and yielding additional board members by January 2016.
How can people help your school if they are interested? The NET Charter High School is seeking additional board members. Also, we are seeking sub-committee members, specifically relating to fundraising.
