Our Voice Nuestra Voz Releases Video to Help Parents with OneApp Enrollment Process

Our Voice Nuestra Voz (OVNV) is a parent advocacy organization that builds the capacity of Latino parents in New Orleans as advocates to ensure that all children in New Orleans have access to a great school. As a part of OVNV, Latino families learn to understand the educational system in New Orleans, are trained to navigate it and organize to make changes to the system in order to increase educational outcomes for their children.

As part of OVNV’s educational outreach, they have trained 5 Parent Ambassadors, and together with their Latino Action Network, they are leading a campaign called Preguntas sobre OneApp/Questions about OneApp? OneApp Parent Ambassadors help other parents navigate the enrollment process through the Family Resource Centers and in the community. To assist in this effort, OVNV has released a 5-minute Q&A video with the most frequently asked questions to help guide parents. The video is in Spanish with English subtitles. OVNV teamed up with Agenda for Children and New Orleans Parents’ Guide to produce the video. Check out the video below.
