Community Roots Award
The Community Roots Award recognizes a Louisiana charter school that demonstrates a commitment to community engagement through the development of partnerships with organizations, programs, and/or individuals from outside their school building to better meet the needs of their students, teachers, and overall school community.
Eligibility: Schools may be nominated or self-nominate for the Community Roots Awards. Nominee Schools must be a current member of the Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools. Award Applications must be received by September 29, 2017.
Prizes: The winning school will be recognized at the 2017 Louisiana Charter Schools Conference in December and receive a $3,750 donation to the school.
