    A nonprofit based in Baton Rouge serving as a resource center for educators. The center provides a lending library with over 29,000 items, professional development sessions, technology support, and an alternative teacher certification program.

    Founded in 2012, New Schools for Baton Rouge is a community partnership bringing together talent and resources that deliver excellent schools to students and families in Baton Rouge. Its mission is to ensure there is an excellent school for every child in Baton Rouge.

    The Cowen Institute is an action-oriented think-tank that actively addresses the issues impeding student achievement by designing and advancing innovative, high-impact policies and programs. It also serves as a clearinghouse for charter and traditional public schools in Orleans Parish to directly access the myriad of experts and resources available at Tulane. Our work is focused on four key areas: Applied Research, Public Policy, University-Based Initiatives, and College Readiness Programs.
